Colorful Night Memento of Rochor Center

In 2011, Rochor Center along with its four colorful residential housing flats and shops, was announced for the Selective En Bloc Redevelopment Scheme, and has to make way for the construction of the new North-South Expressway (NSE).

Last weekend, I made a trip there to capture its "colorful" night sceneries. Make the jump for the night photographs.

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) unveiled the full alignment for the 21.5km long expressway, which includes new details on the southern segment.

In early January 2011, it announced the alignment for the northern segment of NSE between Admiralty Road West and Toa Payoh Rise.

To complete the project, the government will have to acquire four blocks of HDB flats, 187 rental shops and eating houses at the Rochor Center as well as 21 private properties which will have part of their plots acquired.

Currently there are residents still staying here but they have to move out by September 2016. Many shops have had since moved out. I'm not really doing any sort of documentary photography of this place but rather to explore and find out the essence of Rochor Center through its habitat and night sceneries.

So below are the night photographs.
